This is the latest on Obama’s Energy Plan.

Forcing big oil companies to take a reasonable share of their record breaking windfall
profits and use it to help struggling families with direct relief worth $500 for an
individual and $1,000 for a married couple. The relief would be delivered as quickly as
possible to help families cope with the rising price of gasoline, food and other necessities.
The rebates would be fully paid for with five years of a windfall profits tax on record oil
company profits. This relief would be a down payment on Obama’s long-term plan to
provide middle-class families with at least $1000 per year in permanent tax relief.

Let’s focus on the key word here….force. This is just stunning. Obama wants to force oil companies to pay Americans out of their own profits. Unbelievable! Now democrats have made a career out of demonizing oil companies, but this goes way beyond “big oil” and the consequences could be severe to any American business.

So politicians can just pick a business or industry they don’t like, and tax their profits to pay off Americans? If this was any other industry, would there be an outrage? Probably, but as I said, democrats have done a decent job at making Americans think that oil companies are “evil”, and that taxing them will solve all the energy problems.

Obama has shown once again he is nothing but a socialist who want government control over business, and income redistribution.
