I am a Native American Indian(as they say it) but I am an AMERICAN. Yes..my forefathers were founders of this great land and if there was ever a misjustice done..it was to the American Indians on the Trail of Tears. We have not been whinners..not like the African Americans.(most not even knowing what that was about). I call my self an AMERICAN and proud to be one..we are ALL AMERICANS. Why is it that we CAN NOT UNITE and become one....because of the values...because of our pride...because we wanted something better..and we worked hard for it. We had an opportunity to better ourselves...It was working together..that's what built this AMERICA. We seem to have lost that ability. Instead we just want to put blame on everyone else. History will repeat it's self if we are not careful....<br><br>Redistributing the wealth..UMMMMMM. What dos that sound like to you. I not only pay alot of taxes already..the government takes soooo much of it as it is..in SSI..FICA..MED..plus State taxes..plus city taxes. Now..I have to match those costs also...Lets say for the average person..they make $40,000 yr..single..your taxes that you've paid are $ $11,000. Which leaves you $30,000. The cost of health insurance is not even included in this..and lets use being a female over 50.. health insurance cost $600./mon. So add that cost in...another $7200.00/yr. Now..that brings me back down to $22,800/yr. Deduct an average of rent or owning a home for $1,000/mo = $12,000/yr..which brings me down to $10,800. Now..lets add in groceries... can you live on $500/mo.=$6000/yr...O.K. We're getting down to the end of it..now your left with $4800.00...Lets see..we haven't added in car insurance..house insurance..car payment..utilities.. etc.etc....Damn..I'd say we're pretty much in the hole....sooooooo<br><br>What is the incentive to not stay at home..sit on the porch..drink beer..wait on the welfare check..cause houseing is free..and then we can collect food stamps. WOW...that sounds great doesn't it. We don't have to do a damn thing but wait for the government to send us checks..we can hang out all day..and hell..I think I'm bored with that so what can I do..lets go soen to the market and since I don't have much change...I'll steal the candy bar...and on the way there..I see someones bike sitting outside I'll just take that instead of walking..cause I've become to lazy...and I need some pocket change after that so..hell..might as well selling some drugs .And it goes on and on and on...That's the FREE SOCIETY..Hand outs... We create these lazy..bums..thieves..kiers..stealers...takers...gimme..gimme ..gimme people. And this gets passed down from generation to generation. Why work when we can have something for nothing...and if it's not enough..then we can always steal..take from the other people that have more.<br>AND..they call that re-distributing the wealth...ALL they are doing is creating a lazy ass society that the government will have to take care of and will tax the people that care..the people that create jobs..the people that take pride in themselves and their country...the people that work hard..the people that want to make better of the life they have..they striggle going to college to further their education...they work two jobs to further their income..to prosper...they mow their lawns..they drive a vehicle with insurance...IT'S all about the PRIDE..the CARING..the MOTIVATION...the LOVE they have for themselves and their families and their COUNTRY...<br><br>Spreading the wealth....UMMMMMMMMMMMMM..what do you think?????
