Chamber of Commerce Gives Thumbs Down to Obama’s Economics

Is there anybody out there aside from the socialists who really think Obama knows what he’s doing when it comes to the economy?

From the Chamber of Commerce:

WASHINGTON, D.C.—U.S. Chamber of Commerce Executive Vice President for Government Affairs Bruce Josten today issued the following statement on the Obama administration’s proposed budget:

“While we have not seen all the details, the president’s disappointing budget proposal appears to move in exactly the wrong direction. More taxes, heavy-handed regulations, and command-and-control government will not hasten recovery. Instead, it will delay it and do so at a terrible cost to taxpayers, businesses, and working families.

“You don’t build a house by blowing up its foundation. Small businesses and the entrepreneurs who lead them have been the primary drivers of job growth over the past decade. This plan would punish them with higher taxes, resulting in less government revenue, less economic growth, and fewer jobs—not more.

“If the administration wants to spend a record $3.6 trillion and run up a $1.75 trillion deficit this year alone, we need a good return on that money. This budget proposal doesn’t provide it. We strongly support financial aid to our citizens who are hurting now, but a ‘taking from Peter to give to Paul’ strategy won’t work for long. It upsets Peter and doesn’t equip Paul with the tools he needs to become a productive member of society. That’s why we hope that the administration’s plans for energy, infrastructure and education reform—once fleshed out—will help our most disadvantaged citizens to lead more productive and prosperous lives.

“Since the onset of this financial crisis, the U.S. Chamber has said that every proposal must be judged on whether or not it speeds economic recovery. By those measures—and many others—this budget proposal fails. And while we recognize and support more government involvement in the economy to help address our worst economic crisis since the Great Depression, we can’t forget that real growth comes from the doers, dreamers, and risk takers who run America’s millions of small businesses. If we take away their incentives to take risks, grow, and succeed—as this budget does—we will be unnecessarily shooting ourselves in the foot.”

The U.S. Chamber is the world’s largest business federation representing more than 3 million businesses and organizations of every size, sector, and region.

Obama Wants New Gun Ban

I told you it was coming. Despite his rhetoric about “not taking guns away”, Obama plans to do just that. He is proposing a new gun ban on everything from semi-automatic rifles to 10+ round clips.

“As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons,” Holder told reporters.

Holder said that putting the ban back in place would not only be a positive move by the United States, it would help cut down on the flow of guns going across the border into Mexico, which is struggling with heavy violence among drug cartels along the border.”

Remember that liberal logic dictates that criminals and drug cartels purchase their weapons legally. This is just the start folks. This man is dangerous, and once again, our facts about Obama’s past regarding gun control have came true.

Go and purchase weapons now, stock up on ammo, and get what you can before any of these bans start.

The “Tea Party” protests are popping up all over America, with Americans coming out to make their voices heard against government waste, so-called stimulus bills, and socialism.

Obama Shows the Socialist That He Is

For many months, conservatives and other people with common sense have been telling other Americans that Obama is a socialist and marxist. We were labelled racists, and all the other usual nonsense from the left.

At his speech last night, Obama confirmed everything that we have been saying, and in that we learned that American prosperity is at stake here. Obama proclaimed once again that federal government is the only answer, and that he will oversee free college, free healthcare, free energy, and free (insert liberal entitlement here).

In the same breath Obama also claimed he doesn’t like “big government”, which is plainly a bold-faced lie after all these announcements, plus the passing of the biggest government spending bill ever. Obama never mentioned how exactly he was going to pay for all this, but of course, he had mention raising taxes on people making $250K and over. You know, people who own businesses and create jobs.

Obama really couldn’t lay it out any clearer than last night, he doesn’t want a free market, he doesn’t want capitalism, he wants government run everything. The real sad part was seeing all the minions standing up and cheering for something many of them know will ruin the economy. Obama supporters know nothing but entitlements, and all they respond to is free, free, and free.

The time has come to decide if you want a free and prosperous America, or one under Obama where the government will decide and do everything for you. Make your choice now.

House Democrats propose an additional $410B spending bill

House Democrats unveiled a $410 billion spending bill on Monday to keep the government running through the end of the fiscal year, setting up the second political struggle over federal funds in less than a month with Republicans.

The measure includes thousands of earmarks, the pet projects favored by lawmakers but often criticized by the public in opinion polls. There was no official total of the bill’s earmarks, which accounted for at least $3.8 billion.

Obama Job Approval Dips Below 60% for First Time

For the first time since Gallup began tracking Barack Obama’s presidential job approval rating on Jan. 21, fewer than 60% of Americans approve of the job he is doing as president. In Feb. 21-23 polling, 59% of Americans give Obama a positive review, while 25% say they disapprove, and 16% have no opinion.

Republicans Call for Federal Spending Freeze

Republicans are heading in the right direction, and with Obama’s help, ’10 will be one of the biggest GOP comebacks in history.

“As Washington leaders gather for a White House summit on fiscal responsibility, House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) and other House Republican leaders today wrote to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD), calling for a federal spending freeze and urging Democratic congressional leaders to scrap a massive bill that contains the largest increase in non-entitlement spending since the Carter Administration. Congress should scrap the so-called “omnibus” bill, which has been kept hidden from public scrutiny by Democratic leaders, and instead pass clean legislation that holds the line on federal spending, Republican leaders said.

“President Obama has called for both parties to get serious about fiscal responsibility. With our budget deficit potentially reaching $3 trillion this year, Republicans stand ready to work with him, and we believe we should start right now,” Boehner said. “Democratic congressional leaders should abandon their plans to rush another giant spending increase through Congress without public scrutiny, and instead pass a clean bill that freezes spending at current levels. Republicans stand ready to work with our Democratic colleagues and the President to take this first step toward a new standard of fiscal discipline in Washington.”

Obama’s Henrietta Homeless Woman Is A Real Estate Investor

As is often the case with such lies, more information seems to shortly rise up from the darkness to expose the truth. This situation is no different and new information about Henrietta has come to light. It appears that the desperate homeless woman owns real estate she shifted into the name of her son to avoid taxes and acquire government aid. Apparently, Henrietta is the teacher and Tom Daschle is just a student. Henrietta also apparently sold real estate at a significant profit in 2005. Henrietta has now become the poster child the Democrats wish to use to justify the massive expense of helping the chronically unemployed, not-so-needy and not-at-all-homeless.

Oh, the Hypocrisy Continues…

How can he even say any of this with a straight face?

“Republican governors reacted skeptically Sunday to news that President Obama plans to halve the record budget deficits to more than a half trillion dollars by 2013, the end of the current presidential term.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty told “FOX News Sunday” that the markets reacted badly to the $787 billion stimulus bill signed into legislation this past week — the market is now down more than 41 percent off its mark of one year ago — and it’s only going to get worse if the president raises taxes.

Pawlenty said if voters think raising taxes will solve the deficit, he’s got “hunting land for you in northern Minnesota.”

After pushing a bogus “stimulus” bill that will cost trillions of dollars, Obama actually comes out and says he wants to reduce the deficit. These people are just too much.

However, we know the real reason behind this, and it’s simply the first way to raise taxes. Raising taxes on producers and employers during a recession is just stupid. It will guarantee more job losses, and that is something we can’t afford in the Obama economy.
