More on the “Stimulus” Bill
Is there anyone who really supports this nonsense?

1. Generational Theft. The final agreement will cost each and every household more than $6,500 in additional debt, paid for by our children and grandchildren.
2. Paltry Tax Relief for Working Families and Small Businesses. The “Making Work Pay” tax credit at the center of the plan amounts to $1.10 a day, not even enough to ride the bus one-way to work. According to the Associated Press, “Officials estimated [the bill’s tax relief provisions] would mean about $13 a week more in people’s paychecks when withholding tables are adjusted in late spring. Critics say that’s unlikely to do much to boost consumption.” (Taylor, Andrew; “Economic stimulus package on track for final votes,” Associated Press, 12 Feb 09). While the specifics remain unknown, it appears likely that tax relief to help small businesses — the primary engine of American job creation — represents even less of a share of the final tax package, and it had been only a tiny percentage of the overall package to begin with.
3. Massive Government Expansion. The final agreement is almost as much as the annual discretionary budget for the entire federal government.
4. A Trillion-Dollar Spending Bill. The $789.5 billion final agreement slated for a House vote either today or tomorrow will exceed more than $1 trillion when adding in the interest of approximately $300 billion between 2009-2019.
5. Unnecessary Spending That Won’t Create Jobs. Apparently included in the final “jobs” bill is money for plug-in vehicles, money for STD prevention, and money for ACORN (via the Neighborhood Stabilization Program and CDBG program). The final agreement also creates new programs and funds existing programs that can be used to fund earmarks and pork-barrel projects.
Remember to keep calling and tell them NO on this waste of money.

This is how the arrogant democrats are operating. Chuck actually says that Americans “don’t care” that the government is wasting billions of your taxpayer money on useless pork projects.

Harry Reid Wants Illegals to Get Stimulus
I would say this is surprising, but then again we are talking about Harry Reid and the democrats. It seems Reid blocked a bipartisan amendment to the Porkulus bill that would require citizenship verification for recipients of the “stimulus”.
This bill has become the biggest joke ever. Be sure to keep calling and tell the Senators to vote no.

CBO: Obama stimulus harmful over long haul
As if you need another reason to want this bill defeated.
President Obama’s economic recovery package will actually hurt the economy more in the long run than if he were to do nothing, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.
CBO, the official scorekeepers for legislation, said the House and Senate bills will help in the short term but result in so much government debt that within a few years they would crowd out private investment, actually leading to a lower Gross Domestic Product over the next 10 years than if the government had done nothing.

Obama Is A Miserable Failure Already
I will say it, I told you so. Months and months before the election, this site along with many other conservative (note conservative) sites laid out how Obama should not be President of the United States. Many of us were labeled racists, when in fact race was never an issue. My position has always been that Obama is a dangerous candidate who hid his background, and his ties to socialism and marxism. I also contended that Obama was just not a good leader, and that his followers were simply sheep that voted for him because of the marketing slogan “change”, and the fact that he is black.
Once again….I told you so.
Obama has not been in power more than a month and we see how correct we really were. America is in the midst of a recession, which has been caused by a bloated government for decades. It’s not the fault of Bush, it’s not the fault of Clinton, it’s the fault of government as a whole including the American people. Since day 1, Obama has been pushing a “stimulus” bill which is lined with billions of dollars of pork spending that has absolutely nothing to do with “stimulating” the economy. Now Obama has resorted to fear tactics in an attempt to get this bill passed, and thankfully, many Americans have started to come to their senses and see both Obama and this bill are a fraud.
Senators have been swamped with phone calls from Americans making a point to tell them we do not want this bill passed, and with defeat drawing closer, Obama goes on a “retreat” with democrats to figure out Plan B. It’s a failure in leadership from both Obama and democrats. Obama has claimed to be bi-partisan and work “across the aisle”. He has done none of that.
One thing he has succeeded with is convincing a great number of Americans that he is somehow different, and slowly that is even being exposed to be false.
Stay strong America, we can do better.

Help Stop the Pork Stimulus Package
There is no doubt that a majority of Americans do not want this “stimulus” package that is lined with pork, does not create jobs, and will only lead us more into debt. Being that the media is in the tank for Obama and the democrats, we cannot of course rely on them to report about the facts of this stimulus package. Watch any “news” report from the MSM and you will notice they fail to report on the pork included in this bill, and continue to lie about the motives of Republicans trying to stop this nonsense.
this is why we have to move forward with a network of blogs, and use of social networks like Twitter to help get our message, and the truth out to the American people. Groups like Top Conservatives on Twitter have swept across Twitter in a successful effort to get the message out. Democrats are trying to pass this bill without discussion, as it’s a first step towards their goal of socialism.
Far-left organizations such as Moveon.org have taken up a campaign to target GOP Senators in an effort to get them to vote yes on this bill. Now is the time for everyone to step up and help defeat this bill, and tell democrats that useless spending is not the answer.
