In his weekly radio address, the President-Elect once again is trying to convince Americans that more government spending will somehow “fix” the economy.  Obama is subscribing to the liberal theory that throwing money at a problem will somehow make it better, when in reality, government spending is the number one problem.

“President-elect Barack Obama on Saturday said the nation finds itself at one of its "moments of trial" because of the economy and called for Congress to pass a massive public spending bill to create jobs, saying that will pull the country out of the slump.

"We need an American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan that not only creates jobs in the short-term but spurs economic growth and competitiveness in the long-term," Mr. Obama said in his weekly radio address. “

First off, a huge spending bill from Congress will not create jobs.  Other sites have been poking holes in this theory over the last couple of weeks and this magical bill that will somehow just instantly create millions of jobs is just bogus.  The government bureaucracy alone will ensure that, and just wait until the democrat controlled federal government gets its hands on billions and billions of dollars.

“But Mr. Obama warned his spending program would not be part of "the old Washington habit of throwing money at the problem." The president-elect said there will be "vigorous oversight" of the spending and accountability for the projects.”

Oh yes, I am so confident that the democrats and the federal government will suddenly change and not be irresponsible with money.  Anybody want to believe that nonsense?

If you want a real economic recovery, lower taxes, extend the tax cuts, and cut government spending especially in the entitlement areas.  This is how you spur growth, not doing the opposite of which Obama plans.

This is something we have talked about before, and as I have said previously, it’s only going to get worse.  This might be just a local radio station with a limited audience, but it shows once again how anybody who criticizes the “0” will somehow try to be silenced.

Officials with radio station WRHC told WND the dispute involved talk show host Martin Dzuris’ coverage of local issues as well as national issues.

This radio host was apparently bringing up comments that Obama made himself, but I guess that doesn’t matter when you are not spreading the words of Obama.

Is it ever going to stop?  Take a guess at some other industries who will look to Obama to bail them out.

“The country’s largest retail trade association asked President-elect Barack Obama Tuesday to add a series of sales tax-exempt shopping days to a coming economic stimulus package in an effort to revive consumer confidence and spur spending.

The National Retail Federation called for three periods of sales tax-free shopping that would last 10 days each in March, July and October 2009. The trade group estimates that it would save consumers about $20 billion, or $175 per family.

Under the industry group’s proposal, which would exclude alcohol and tobacco sales, the federal government would reimburse states for the lost tax revenue. State sales tax rates range from 2.9% to 7.25%, the group said. The five states without a sales tax — Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon — would also receive monies.”

Well no surprise that another Chicago crony of Obama has been nominated for a post, this time it’s Chicago Schools Chief Arnie Duncan.  The Chicago style public education system, coming to the federal government now.

Here is your “change” America.

“A team of four dozen advisers, working for months in virtual solitude, set out to identify regulatory and policy changes Obama could implement soon after his inauguration. The team is now consulting with liberal advocacy groups, Capitol Hill staffers and potential agency chiefs to prioritize those they regard as the most onerous or ideologically offensive, said a top transition official who was not permitted to speak on the record about the inner workings of the transition.”

It looks like Obama will be taking the advice of left-wing “advocacy” groups.  Is this the unity that Obama-bots were telling us we would get?

Take action and demand the LA Times release the video of Obama and Khalidi. This is a perfect example of the media helping 0bama, so go and tell them to release this tape.

It’s really a shame that local news reporters are asking the tough questions that the MSM has failed to ask.  In the last week, Joe Biden has had two encounters with local reporters pressing him on their socialist and marxist agendas, only to be blacklisted from further interviews.  It’s not wrong to ask them about their redistribution of wealth schemes, because it is marxist and Obama has had some fascination with socialism for years.

Any American who works hard needs to understand that Obama wants to take your money, and give it to the non-productive part of society.  You can’t give tax breaks to people who don’t pay taxes in the first place.  It’s called welfare.

Is this really the person you want to fix the economy?
