Great article from Michelle Malkin on Obama’s proposed “stimulus” plan.
“Barack Obama has dubbed his behemoth fiscal stimulus proposal the “American Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act.” But if truth in advertising were required of White House plans, only one title would fit the trillion-dollar-plus-and-growing bill: The Generational Theft Act of 2009.
President-elect Obama was at his most candid when he told the country Tuesday that we face massive deficits for the foreseeable future. “Potentially we’ve got trillion-dollar deficits for years to come,” he said, “even with the economic recovery that we are working on.” But one word is glaringly out of place in that warning. It’s the word “even.” Washington will saddle future generations with unprecedented debt because of the economic recovery interventions Obama is planning, not despite them.”

This is a great article that every voter should read.
“Let’s talk about Joe the CEO. Obama doesn’t know as much about him as he thinks he does. First, it’s been estimated that there are five million Americans with the title of CEO. As it happens, I’m one of them. My business has experienced many twists and turns and dips and dives over the course of nine years, and I am very far from rich. But during those years I’ve paid out a lot in payroll, in taxes, in equipment rentals, in office rent – did I mention taxes? – and in health insurance premiums for employees as well as myself.”

This is coming from one of the people responsible for the housing meltdown.
By Philip Klein
“Plouffe was repeating one of the boldest claims made by the Obama campaign. It’s a claim that the Wall Street Journal editorial board dubbed "Obama’s 95% Illusion," noting that more than a third of Americans don’t pay any income taxes, and that what Obama’s plan does do is offer a raft of subsidies and government payments to individuals and families that he redefines as "tax cuts." His proposal looks more like a redistribution scheme than an honest effort to reduce taxes — as he revealed on Monday when he told a now famous Ohio plumber that his plan aimed to "spread the wealth around."
So when Plouffe reiterated the 95 percent claim, I asked him a simple question aimed at clarifying whether Obama’s tax plan was about cutting rates, or merely handing out government checks. "What rates would actually go down"? I asked.
"Middle class people are going to see, systemically, their taxes reduced, and small businesses," Plouffe responded.
"But what rate would go down for lower-income Americans?" I persisted, seeking more information.
"We’ll have to get you the exact details on that," Obama’s campaign manager told me.”

Unbelievable. This man actually wants to tax small businesses.
The WSJ has a great piece on Obama’s nonsense that 95% of Americans will receive a tax cut.
“One of Barack Obama’s most potent campaign claims is that he’ll cut taxes for no less than 95% of "working families." He’s even promising to cut taxes enough that the government’s tax share of GDP will be no more than 18.2% — which is lower than it is today.
It’s a clever pitch, because it lets him pose as a middle-class tax cutter while disguising that he’s also proposing one of the largest tax increases ever on the other 5%. But how does he conjure this miracle, especially since more than a third of all Americans already pay no income taxes at all? There are several sleights of hand, but the most creative is to redefine the meaning of "tax cut."

Everyone should be outraged at this ridiculous plan that will cost Americans billions of dollars on nothing.
The plan sponsored by Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee for the office of president, is estimated to cost the United States some $845 billion over the coming few years in an effort to raise the standard of living around the globe.
I really can’t keep up with all the spending plans Obama has proposed already. Where is this money coming from, and don’t tell me "tax the rich", because his spending proposals are way beyond that.
Be sure to e-mail this to your friends, this is just another reason not to elect this global socialist to office.
As each day goes by, the economic ignorance of Barack Obama comes more into light. Obama now proposes a windfall profits tax on the so-called “big oil”. These taxes will be handed over to poor people.
"I’ll make oil companies like Exxon pay a tax on their windfall profits, and we’ll use the money to help families pay for their skyrocketing energy costs and other bills," the Illinois senator said.
What? I’m sure Hugo Chavez would approve of this, but what has happened to this country when income redistribution is being pushed. It’ doesn’t matter what the opinion is and insane hatred of oil companies, having business profits taxed and redistributed to people who can’t manage their own finances is purely idiotic.
